C/o Footpath
This evening I was going home and while walking in footpath, a stranger passed by me, he was carrying a huge bag and I curiously looked at it to check what it is. He was a belt seller he had bag full of belts and few in hand. He saw me look at him and showed the belt in his hand and asked me, "teen belt ka ₹200, chahiye?" I signalled no and ran away from there as soon as possible. To put it in perspective, he's a self employed, even when he's off duty, going home from his workplace aka the footpath, he's never off duty. Because he's self employed, which means he is his own boss and he is his own employee. I am not an employee of a software company, even If I am, if anyone asks me If I am empliof that company and asks any help regarding it, I would anonymously try to run away from that place, because as they say, not my circus, not my monkeys. If an employee is at work, he would always give 100% or try to be as better as possible at workplace, that's the ethical value of us Indians. One of the reasons why Dr Rajkumar referred to cinema producers as Annadatharu, because that's the respect we have on the people who pay us to do the work, by which our livelihood is built. That's as basic as I can go to explain the difference between a businessman and an employee. As a business person, the proprietor has 100% risk and thus the income or loss is completely his own. An employee works minimum wage and minimum time and he's paid accordingly and if he's given 110% of effort, he will not be rewarded the profilts, because he's neither the partner, nor the proprietor. And hence, there is and always will be a difference between pay, effort and contribution of a person towards the growth of a company in perspective of employee and business owner. Let's say I supplied tea coffee for Kalki 2898 movie for 3 years and when the movie is made ₹1000 crores, I am not in my right to ask my share of the profit, because all I did was supply tea and coffee. But let's say, I funed some 30-50% of the movie budget and the movie bombs at box office, I would be at 100% risk and I would literally have to sell houses and come to footpath to sell belts like in the beginning of the article. But if the movie makes ₹1000-₹1500 crore at box office, I would easily enjoy the profilts because I kept my home, family and most of assets in line to build that business, in here, a movie. So, I'm in my right to enjoy the profilts. But the question remains, is it ethical to ask employees to work like business partners but are paid like employees who are the first ones to lose job if the company fails?

Making and Keeping Business
Two important aspects of business:
1. Making the business
2. Keeping the business
Let's see that through a real event, names changed
Let's assume there are only two newspapers in the state. One is by Aditya and another is from Preeti. I am currently subscribed to the Aditya newspaper. On Jan 1st, Aditya newspaper boy gave 2025 calendar along with newspaper. That's keeping the business
This morning, a Preeti newspaper boy kept today's newspaper along with their calendar on my home compound. I thought there was an error as there could have been a new kid who took the job as a newspaper boy, but no it wasn't. They intentionally gave calendar of the year and newspaper of one day as advertisement. The expense of the newspaper given as free to non subscribers might bring in some new subsctriber. And that is making new business.

When Life Gives You Tea
I follow telugu memes here and there and on the backdrop of it, here's what happened yesterday. I ordered a masala dose this morning and at the end of it the waiter came and asked me if I want tea? I told him coffee in low voice. I confirmed if I wanted tea again. I told him coffee. He arrived with bill and tea. I saw it and immediately realised it's tea, but it's not that a big deal, I immediately remembered thanks to thanks a lot nene with prabhas and quietly drank my tea and went on my way.
