10 things to take care of, before leaving to celebrate New Year with your NRC pals

Hey NRCs, I hope you're having a good time. Presenting you my first article in English (probably) regarding one of the most awaited trip organized by yourself. Yes, it's the New Year 2016 celebration I'm writing about. As you all know, this time, it's bigger and better; I assure you that, pt promise. So, in order to make it special, I have already sent few handwritten letters to all participating BROs. Some of you may have received it already and some may yet to. Apart from that, everything is going as planned. Hence, I'm penning down few tips and tricks to double the fun and excitement. Let me first warn you, this is just another timepass article, so don't read it during your office hours. However, I have spent nearly two hours to write and type, so please have some kindness and read it, I owe you one.

1) Pack light
Don't pack too much clothes as it consumes more boot space in tempo traveller. Ensure you have packed more than one set of towel and enough innerwear. Also pack some comfortable clothes for beach photo session.

2) Get it all
Don't depend solely on smartphone. If you have a basic handset, get it with fully charged battery. It always helps you in case of emergencies. Don't forget your earphones, charger, power bank, USB cables, OTG pendrives etc. And please remember, those are your things, so always keep an eye on them and make sure you won't forget them at vehicle or homestay etc

3) Money matters
Have some cash for personal use. Of course, our dearest manager Yogesh T N will take care of our expenses once you're on-board, but it is safe to carry some extra cash with you. Don't depend on ATM cards, net banking, mobile banking etc. Since it will be quarter end for banks, the probability of network error will be too damn high. Just in case, if you like a neck chain and want to gift it to girlfriend, or you want to buy seashells for your home, having excess physical cash is a simple and better solution.

4) Wherever you go...
Wherever you go, your network may not follow you. So, have a secondary SIM of different company. If you have a post-paid sim, then its okay to some extent. If you're a prepaid customers, ensure that you have recharged with enough talk time and data plans, preferably 4G or 3G. You may not know the importance of it, till you desperately need it.

5) Thamashege, Ellaa sumne
As I have already cleared you that this party is bigger and better, you can expect much more jokes from anyone and everyone. Some of the jokes may be mean, racist, offensive or even personal. Just remember Vishnu Dada's dialogue from Aapthamithra, "Thamashege, Ellaa sumne". No one really wants to hurt you, its all the result of bad consequences. Sing along "Hakuna Matata"

6) I like to move it move it
Everyone likes to move it to the dancing beats of Enrique Iglesias, A R Rahman, DSP and Harikrishna. Don't be shy, everyone around you are your old buddies from your college and hometown. So, leave your shyness at your home prepare yourself for amazing dance masti. Let's burn the dance floor and throw the ashes away.

7) Book your tickets
If you're from Bengaluru, then ignore this one. If you're not from Bengaluru, please confirm your bus or train tickets and plan your journey accordingly. Sona, your train journey secret is safe with me.

8) Go crazy, but be polite
Shout as much as you can, but let's not disturb the surrounding localities. I know our boys are decent in these activities, I'm just pointing out the possible scenarios.

9) Doctor Doctor
Keep your friends close and your medicines closer. Most of you feel this point as irrelevant, but I suggest you to pickup general things like body lotion, deodorant, headache tablets, body pain sprays etc.

10) Hari Om
All of you know the 'Hari Om' joke right? Let's make it real. When you spot a hot chick around you, pass the message with Thilak's "Hmmm" tone. Because Rm's mantra to happiness justifies it: Sharing is caring!

That's all folks, thank you for reading. If you like this article, please reply me and please don't hesitate to add your valuable comments.

Until then, take care. Jai Shree Krishna.

Forever Yours
Annappa aka Bujji
